The overall objective of the Technical Services Department is supply efficient, effective and economical services to the community, which it serves.

Accomplish delivery of all technical services to the community in line with the powers and functions allocated to the Senqu Municipality, in accordance with time frames of National, Local Government and the Integrated Development Plan

Mission Statement

Technical Services will improve the quality of life of the Senqu community in a sustainable and maintained service delivery programme conducted within all applicable legislation.

Focus

The Senqu Municipality has the following powers and functions in respect to Key Performance Areas of technical services to the community:

• Electricity distribution and street lighting -licensed areas only.

• Roads and storm water construction and maintenance - Municipal and access roads and paving

• Town Planning Building Control, zonings, consolidations, sub divisions, spatial development.

• Municipal Planning Integrated Development Plan in conjunction with other departments
