The winner for Eastern Cape will be announced in Rapport on 1 July and on Kwêla on 3 July. Let us hold thumbs that it will be Lady Grey. The Eastern Cape winner will compete against the winners of the 8 other regions to become the overall winner and carry the title of DORP VAN DIE JAAR 2012. Apart from the small prizes, the winning town wins one million rand's worth of publicity from Rapport and another one million rand's worth of publicity from kykNet.
